Flower Fun

For the next two weeks, we are learning about flowers with a little of SEW mixed in the middle. One of our goals is to learn about the four major parts of the plant; the flower, stem, leaves, and roots. Here are a few of the activities we've done so far this week.

Zachary and Seth are matching A-Z flowers to the pot with the picture that starts with that letter.

The kids have enjoyed picking the dandelions outside so we decided to paint with them. We drew the stems and leaves first and then used the flower to paint on top. They turned out beautiful!

At center time, Yong Suk practiced counting with sunflower seeds. See he counted 4 seeds on his sunflower to match the card he pulled!

A few of us played a game where we each pulled a card and the counted out sunflower seeds. We then saw who had the smallest number and who had the biggest number. Sometimes we even had a tie!
