To start off our year right, we are learning about the Fruit of the Spirit. Since our rules of our classroom go along with the Fruit of the Spirit, I thought it would be a good idea if we understood what each Fruit meant and how that relates to us.
On the first day we made our Fruit bowls. As we learn a new Fruit each day, we place the fruit associated with that Fruit of the Spirit in our bowl.
We also learned how to paint gently with watercolors. We 'tickle' our colors instead of making them shout because we push too hard with our paintbrush. Can't you hear all the laughing going on from our paints? We've been learning the Bible verse that contains all the Fruit of the Spirit and we have a motion for each Fruit. We are doing really well at saying our verse each day. We also have learned a song about the Fruit of the Spirit. You may have heard it at home by now. :)
“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control…”
Galatians 5:22-23
